PredictAYA consortium 2025

The research Laboratory is pround to annonce its leadership role in the PredicAYA consortium supported by EU funding under HORIZON-CANCER programme

PredictAYA is a multidisciplinary research initiative led by Prof Kenny Rodriguez-Wallberg from Karolinska Institute.

The programme aims to reduce infertility and other organ toxicities experience by young patients diagnosed with cancer, and to improve the their quality of lives beyond cancer.





Prof Isabelle Demeestere will lead the WP6 which focus on postcancer reproductive health, sexuality and quality of life.

Coordination of the SIG Fertility Preservation at ESHRE 2024-2026

 

After serving as Senior Deputy, Isabelle Demeestere has take on the role of Coordinator of the the Special Interest Group (SIG) Fertility Preservation for ESHRE for 2 years (2024-2026)

7th World Congress of the ISFP 2022

Isabelle Demeestere has presented how to counteract the ovarian gonatoxicity of chemoterapy at the 7th World Congress of the International Society for Fertility Preservation in Brussels (Belgium)


BSRM Presidence 2020-2023


Isabelle Demeestere was honored to be the president of the Belgian Society for Reproductive Medecine.
The BSRM is a society who promote research and share knowledge in Reproductive Medecine field.

Virtual Oncofertility Congress of the Freezing Ovarian Tissue and Oocytes Consortium, Brussels (8th and 9th October 2021)

In 2018, three pioneering centres in fertility preservation within the Brussels Capital Region (ULB, UCL and VUB) have joined efforts to establish an oncofertility research consortium, funded by an Excellence of Science (EOS) grant by FWO-FNRS. The four years of EOS research have culminated in a scientific Oncofertility Conference featuring the latest developments and advances in this field. We were proud to be part of the consortium and to present our work at this congress.
