Published on December 2, 2020 Updated on November 21, 2023

After obtaining her PhD degree in our laboratory in 2019, Johanne Grosbois joined the well-known Evelyn Telfer Laboratory at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (UK). Chrysa and Melody, the two other PhD students, have visited her new laboratory and met Evelyn. E. Telfer laboratory has expertise in follicle culture, fertility preservation and is currently working on the ovarian stem cells. Notably, they were pioneers in in vitro follicle development and were the first to elaborate a multi-step in vitro culture system allowing to reach mature metaphase II oocyte starting from primordial follicle in 2018 (https://doi.org/10.1093/molehr/gay002). After visiting the great city of Edinburgh and facing some ghosts, Chrysa and Melody also had the opportunity to present their works to Telfer Laboratory team, sublimating this lab roadtrip.
